This building was Pleasanton’s Town Hall when it was built in 1914. It was designed by William Binder, and cost $10,000. All of the City Staff, City Council Chambers, Women’s Club meeting area, and the library were in the same small building. As city jobs expanded, they were moved to their current location down the street, and the police department took the building as their headquarters. When the police department outgrew the building in 1984, the Amador Livermore Valley Historical Society restored it and converted it into the Amador-Livermore Valley Historical Museum.
